What summer means to me

I have been away for a while and so have not posted in a few weeks. As well as taking the usual holiday snaps I have tried to continue with a couple of photo projects - one of these the creation of a calendar for 2017 using the themes given to me by a photo calendar of 2016. August's theme was what summer means to you.....

For me, it is a beautiful huge uncrowded sunny sandy beach with waves crashing in. This is Baie des Trépassés on the western tip of Finistère.

Very nice, your presentation shows the vastness and almost emptiness of the beach. Tells a bit of a story also with the lone surfer; is it too early or too late to catch a good wave, does meeting up with a friend mean more than the sport?

Fits the theme perfectly, Kaye. The large area of empty sand in the FG really gives a sense of broad expanse IMO. Nice.

Again thanks to all. Indeed Brittany was lovely and the holiday grand. It is an area we will explore again as it's focus on its natural world (rather than man-made attractions and cities) suits us perfectly.
