A Minute in Time
Up early (ish) this morning and out at the beach as usual with the dog. The weather is - lets say - changeable so I took my rucksack with my waterproof in and because I had the space and didn't have to actually carry it in my hand I bunged my lightweight Manfrotto tripod in there too so I could shoot some long exposures with the iPhone. I pre-ordered the new iPhone 7+ yesterday for delivery next Friday when they go live so this week will be the last time I shoot with my current iPhone 6 so I've decided make an extra effort to go out and use it as a proper camera.
First one is quite minimal with a cool mono conversion where I've deliberately pushed up the mid tone slider to soften the detail then cropped hard to concentrate the eye on the wide horizon.

On this shot went the other way with a warm tone to more closely mimic the original rocks and a fair bit more detail and contrast to bring out the structures.

As I also had the Fuji with me and I had nowt else to do for 60 seconds I thought I'd shoot a behind-the-scenes image of the iPhone in action default_thumbsup.gif
