    Time to learn

My lady and eldest daughter are making jewellery, I make glass beads, lampwork, and they are making jewllery incorporating some of my better efforts. I guess I now need to learn product photography and flash/constant light management to make the best of it to allow them to use the images on their Etys shop. First efforts to get a view on what I need to understand and look to improve

The second works much better for me Mark,

In the first, I find the branch far too dominant, it is just about OK in the second.

    Hi Mark,
I'll try posting my comments again. This is the third try.
I concur with Dave, the second shot is better. However I find that the white background is too bright for my liking.
I wonder if the background was a little darker shade (or pastel colour) if that would enhance the product better?

Every time you take a photo you learn something. Dave most of the time is on the mark.

Thanks folks, agree about the background, its a comment from others as well so the next exercise will be with different backgrounds and less intrusive 'props' - all good feedback and very much appreciated.
