    For me # 1 as white lines have more impact.
    You can even add more contrast/clarity to go from real black to real white

    I would go for the second option because with more space it puts the whole scene into a better context by having more depth. The first image shows more detail on the tower but leaves me wondering why it is there.

    I think I like the first one, the portrait mode gives it a bit more dynamic energy. Nicely seen and captured.

    Thanks for your input. My favorite is the first one. I think in the second one should be more space between top of the tower and picture frame.
