Quite slow. Not having a plastic cup at hand as a way of eliminating bright spots I lowered my flash compensation to 0.-7.
    Sony Alpha a58 & Tamron 90mm Lens. ISO 100, F/14, 0.1s, 0.-7 Flash

usually these beasties are well hidden. Quite a pleasant surprise to find this one so open and stationary.

The lowered flash seems to have worked well Brian. Wooly aphids look best when squashed...

nope in our garden most beasties get left alone. The only trouble with -.7 flash is the lowered shutter speed which really shrinks my window of opportunity.
