    Hi from Down Under

These are part of a group of 20 or 30 roos who seem to have taken a liking to the slope at our back gate. They spend their time eating, sun baking and showing a great interest in watching what we get up to as we potter around the back yard. They have no fear of us, only curiosity. They seem to have assessed us as harmless and non threatening.

Mrs Ucci said to me the other day that I might soon have to start sleeping under our bed. She reckons this is because I have become a little potty. Rude woman! I would divorce her in an instant! But why should I make her so happy?

Thanks for viewing and for any comments which might help me to know how I might have framed these better.

Beautiful exposures & so sharp, just lovely.
Not a lot to improve on, but you know us women, we like to chat if given the chance... So maybe in the first the vignette is a teeensy bit too much for me?
In the second only as you ask, maybe have been a step to the left so they popped nicely into that gap?
But hey they are darn good just as they are too.

Lovely pictures. Not much to say about composition.
It guess Kay have a lot better eyesight than I have. I would say that the only critique I can give is
that the shutterspeed probably should have been faster. They are a bit soft in focus.

Nice... I'm hoping to get a shot or two of a kangaroo in the wild on my upcoming trip to Australia... the last time I only got a kangaroo shaped blur as it ran away... spooked by a large/loud group of tourists... not us...

    Sounds good Martin
If you're coming down our way, there is a golf course where they roam contentedly with players and tourists alike.

    Re: Hi from Down Under

Thank you all for your feedback. And thank you for your two excellent comments Kay. Good points well made and taken which if implemented would result in better framed shots. Very much appreciated.
Martin, our golf courses in Oz are well known havens for roos. The problem is that the roos on them have had so much interaction with people using the courses that they are pretty tame and not really wild roos. Mind you, were you to slice a drive and manage to hit one with a well driven golf ball, I reckon you could end up with a pretty 'wild' kangaroo. They don't have a sense of humour about such things, or so I am told. I have never played golf. Never seen the much point to it. Why would any one want to hit a small white ball as far away from one's self as possible, and then walk several hundred yards, just to hit it again? The logic of this enterprise totally eludes me.:confused
