Bird photos: post all your bird photos here

Hello everyone, I was going through the forum and found a lot of birds photo scattered across CiC and could not locate anything only for birds. I think having a dedicated thread only for birds (with feather) will help all bird photographers show off their talent under a same thread. So please post all your bird photos in this thread.

To start with, here are some from my side:

Peacock is national bird of India and these shots are taken at Bandipur one of the reserve forests in south India.

Hi Dipayan: Your peacocks are beautiful. I take it in India they roam wild. Here in Canada they are either in zoos or on farms. Below is a shot that I took at a local park through a fence.

This one has been posted here before in another thread. I don't know how the moderators feel, but I like the idea of these individual threads for certain subjects. It makes things easier to find and is a good place to have tips on shooting and discussion about the topic. Of course as with the other topical threads, I still think it should be optional whether the poster wishes to start a seperate thread.

Here is a White Peacock from the same location. Obviously shot through a fence, but my PP work made it look worse, so I left it as is.

Hi Dipayan,

Great idea, having subject based threads has sorta crept up on us and no-one noticed

Here's a couple of contributions, probably seen here before if anyone was around last year. Both are bigger than 700px, so F11 and click the image to view them larger and sharper in a Lytebox.

Shot in the wild in May 2009, along the Jubilee river (a flood relief channel for the Thames), a Cormorant drying him/herself after a fishing dip.
