    Canyonlands in B&W

    Hi everyone. I took a recent trip to Canyonlands and I thought I would share a few of my favorite photos from the trip. CC and suggestions are always welcome. I hope you enjoy the images!

    This is by far my favorite of the group. I love the texture and feel in this image.

    Nice series composition wise, not enough contrast though; although Green River Overlook works for me.

    I agree with John, Green River Overlook is the best. Yep increase contrast also.

    I'll be there in about 3 1/2 weeks so will get to see what you saw and shoot accordingly. Can't wait!

    Thanks to everyone for your comments. Here is an updated version of the first picture.

    I boosted the shadows in the original image to bring out some detail in the big rock in the foreground on the right side of the image. I dialed that back some in this edit. To my inexperienced eye, this doesn't look as good as my original posting because the shadow from the rock really dominates the image now.

    I'll keep working on this and maybe get something a little better.

    It's such a beautiful area! I hope you will post some of your images here. I would love to see them!
