    Into The Storm

Headed out to our local hills with the dog this morning - despite my Apple Watch telling me the heavens were about to open and while I did get wet I also managed a few shots of the sky.

Just the iPhone 6 as I didn't fancy dragging the Fuji gear out...

I like the composition. The foreground is what attracted me to this...

I wonder if you opened up the middle ground tones to a lighter state if it wouldn't "suck" the eye deeper into the clouds and perhaps even "darken those clouds where the sky meets the earth. The sky does look foreboding but it is hard for me to tell if I am going into the storm or the storm is leaving me given the brightness of the foreground.

It is a nicely composed shot but leaves me asking more questions.

Its a snap from my iPhone that I did tweak a little - but here is the original straight from my photo stream if you want to have a fiddle:

It's always hard to try and re-interpret someone else's vision. and I think my worry was the title not matching the image message... so, here's my take on seeing the field merge into the storm.

    Into The Storm

It's not a whole lot different from the original...but is different from the first post.

Because the first image is a crop version the white flowers are dominating the FG, but IMO your original looks better because there are also yellows in the FG and that FG supports the stormy sky better
