Love Egrets when they drag their feet like that..and they don't do it just because they can, they do it so on the next pass the little fishies that surfaced during all the commotion in the water become easier prey. The Black Skimmer does essentially the same thing only he lays down a chemical path, so to speak and on the second run gets the fish. Watch them for pattern flying as it makes the catch shot so much easier to get.

That's a nice series Roger. 2 & 3 stand out for me. I might have been tempted to pull back the highlight on the far wing of the Egret and leave a little more room at the top of no. 3 but two cracking shots.

Really nice series. I especially love #3...
In #1, you can really see how the snakes coloring is a great camouflage - look at the stick right next to it!

A nice, fun series. I've not had the opportunity to photograph a rattlesnake... and I'm ok with that!
I especially like the Black Skimmer image for it's timing and composition.
