Every year on the 4th of July, my neighbors across the street spend a huge amount of money on fireworks. These are not just your average everyday sparklers and puny firecrackers. Nope, these are the National Anthem inspired ones. Some of the lifting charges rattle my windows. When they go boom, I think I'm going to hear glass breaking. The cool thing is I don't have to travel very far. Only about 5 feet out my front door. I did this last year to go outside my comfort zone and take some long exposure shots. This year, I think I did a little better than last. These are all 4-8 sec exposures. Of course, these aren't as clear as my originals. The upload process always blurs them somewhat.

Brian, I like the first one very much...I did not go out two nights ago to watch any fireworks. You did very well not to go very far from your front door. I guess you are allowed to have fireworks in the neighbourhood. We are not. And for some reasons. I guess I am not really satisfied with just looking as when we were young, we spend a lot of money just to have fireworks, home invented or not. A few tears here and there but we are all alive and well and grew up to be "adults" whatever that means...I rather saw fireworks in images and your images here are all good ones.
