Lovely light Robin, well captured. It may also work with a slightly tighter crop.
Where is this, out of interest?
Might try a different crop thanks, this is how I took it as I had the Fuji switched to 16:9 and I haven't altered much.
Its the old mill on top of Cleadon Hills near South Shields, its fifteen minutes walk via a farm and a few fields from mine so a regular haunt when out with the dog. The light was nice so I took a gamble at teatime as the Dark Sky app on my Watch said it might rain but it stayed dry until I was nearly back home.
The sky appeals to me. If it were mine, I would crop about half the foreground out to focus attention on the sky.
Perfection. Wonderful light and composition.
I like your approach to this scene...the clouds is beautiful but where is that light coming from? Just curious...a question I always ask myself when looking at a scene done by others. Processing is very good and the separation of the structure from the background is excellent. Very nice and well done.

Well seen - lovely light ad blend of colours

The clouds behind were naturally dark due to a rain heading my way - their structure and brightness has been enhanced but not dramatically. The light hitting the mill and the field is from a break in the thinner cloud behind me - I added a vignette to centralise it and give it a little more focus.
I would not have known you added a vignette, which makes it the perfect kind of vignette for my taste. Adding a subtle vignette is like adding a subtle spice to a dish of food; you don't notice that it has been added but you would surely notice if it had not been added.
