    It looks pretty, but I'm sure I wouldn't want to be near it when it takes off, it looks quite big and I detest fluttery things I can't out run

    Good specimen Brian, great body colouring but I suspect your WB is out a bit.

    I had processed it in TIFF and then realized my blog won't accept TIFF so switched to JPEG. That through the WB out.

    PS. The moth looks better without the heavy green color cast.( The second image seems on the blue side a bit, but it doesn't look bad)

    Yeah, I have not seen one fly, but suspect being that size, I might be able to out run it

    As you know, I have shot a 'resting' one very close up before.
