They are all wonderful images![]()
Lovely series--I pick #2 as my favorite--just personal taste. They all make me wish to visit this place!
These are all great shots (and an amazingly gorgeous area) but definitely #5 for me, perfect timing on this shot.
So question: I'm seeing what can only be a result of running/moving water, was this area at some point in time an inland sea or lake? Since there appears to be some height of the area you photographed I'm thinking an inland sea?
Hi, Jack. These rocks are Sandstones (arenites) and the holes were not caused by running water. They were, instead, caused by the action of winds over the centuries. There are no lakes, not even rivers, close to this place. Regarding the ocean, the closest point in a straight line is roughly 1200km away. The image below can give you a better idea of the location. Thanks for viewing. Cheers,

Lovely series, Otavio. Think of the time it took to lay down that stratigraphy and then to whittle it away.
