How I spent my Saturday morning
They got me out of bed, loaded me into my snowsuit and stuffed me into Mom's backpack. Then they schlepped me around the Market while they shopped, and for lunch all I got was a bottle of formula while they had Peameal Bacon sandwiches.
Boy! Sometimes life just isn't fair.

Re: How I spent my Saturday morning
The backpack was always my kids favourite mode of transport. They much preferred it to a stroller because they were at level where they could see around. I have a shot somewhere of me and my youngest daughter in the backpack standing on the Great Wall in China.
As a parent, if felt a bit less guilty too. Those strollers are quite close to the ground and not that far from the exhaust pipes of cars...

William, John, Manfred, Sergio,
Thanks for the comments.
William,
We use the word all the time, especially to describe doggies on walks carrying stuff in their mouths.
Manfred,
When our kids were quite young, I used to carry them on my hip, facing outward, with my arm across the front of their body and my hand between their legs under their bum, so they could watch the world as we walked.
This worked well until they got a bit too heavy. Then we switched to strollers. And if the truth be known, there were a few times when I looked around in vain for a handy automobile exhaust pipe.
Robert
