    Kent oasthouses

Oasthouses adorn the Kent countryside - I've always loved the shape and structure. C&C welcome.

    #1 is interesting* Simon,

But I really like the shape repetition in #2.

    * Now I am going to have to Wikipedia (or similar) to discover how they (Oasthouses) 'work' - obviously a flow of air is part of the process (the top vent and later addition of fans), but there seems to be a chimney flue as well. Can you tell I'm quite ignorant of the industry?!

    Cheers, Dave

    PS - good conversions

The composition in the second one is just marvelous, really strong!

Thanks - yes, I am particularly happy with the second one, the shape is good but the light is nice (although I admit I emphasised it with a little dodging and burning). The first is a little flat by comparison.

Me too re no.2 but both nice. Excellent conversion for both plus it looks like a bit good PP on the base of the second. I grew up for a while in Kent and these bring back memories.
