Correct on both counts Jim - good capture.
Is that just sunlight?
I'm still waiting for ours to surface this year - it was a bit to chilly today for anything but the odd damsel to be seen round the rivers, ponds and lakes where I was today.
We don't have any yet at this time either...maybe soon when the weather warms up...this is a very nice catch, Ziggy...you've had a lot of practice...
Sunlight. Thanks Dave for taking the image off the elevator ride.
Great techs on the bug but I can't enjoy it with that BG. Eesh![]()
With wildlife photography you have to accept what is available in the way of backgrounds, Jim.
Your background is nicely blurred but a little on the bright side. I would selectively tone down the background highlights using a layer and Curves set to luminosity blend. Or if you can't do layers with your software, try an Adjustment Brush.
This should be a relatively easy process; I do something similar the the majority of my shots like this.
Very nice image. Really makes me want to get out with my macro lens.
Dave
OTOH - the wings are most visible against the brighter areas, bit of a dilemma.
