Nice and sharp ....but I am in two minds about the stem of the flower, perhaps just the flower would be better ?

( just my two cents worth

I'm with Griddi -- what happened to the stem?

Nothing really happened to the stem it's just out of focus along with the background. Balancing blurring the background while still having enough DOF to get the flower in focus.

Lovely flower nicely shot. I think that dandelions are so cheerful, pity they have a tendency to grow in "inappropriate" places. I hate it when my council mows them all down on road verges, usually when they are at their most glorious.

I wonder if it would be worthwhile trying to clone the stem out. I know it is natural, but I agree with others that it does seem rather a distraction in your shot.

Just clone it out, Dave -- and make me a happy little sheila that I should be looking at this sunshine of a flower. I really should have a field of them in my backyard but Bill keeps mowing them...
