    Yellow mongoose

    Hi,

THis little fellow is a yellow mongoose. Unlike his Indian relatives, he lives off insects not snakes. They are not rare, but being small, one mostly sees the from above. So, I think this is quite an unusual picture.

This looks badly over sharpened, but the original didn't.. Any thoughts?

Pretty little guy. Shot in Africa? It doesn't look over sharpened to me. There's just a lot of small detail all over, ground, fur, branches... Nicely done.

+1 to Dan's comments. Good shot in bad lighting. It certainly give us a good idea of the habitat.

+1 to Dan's comment...It looks OK to me too, Dave...This is the first time I saw one in pictures...though I have heard of it by name only.
