    Hi Bran,

    Ah'm not one for moving stuff out of the way, or breaking off things tae get the shot. In this case, ah think ah would've moved the wee green stalk, the three or four stems on the right and the two dark bits that look like animal droppings.

    It's a beautifully composed and exposed photo - ah really like it, with the above reservations.

    I used to live on a reservation. I agree that it could have been done your way. But these leaves were inside a clump of bamboo and if I had reached in to move things I would have ended up terribly itchy from all of the nasty stuff that was in there. Plus i stood a real chance of ruining the shot by causing everything to move.

    I have been taught that i is necessary to learn the rules. Not so that you can follow them blindly. But so that you can know when and how to break them.
