    Adult spiders don't regrow legs, Brian. Juveniles can regrow lost or damaged parts during their moult stages but once they become adult, that is it. Anything lost is gone forever then.

    Good focus and exposure.

    I didn't know that. The good news is that s/he can still spin a web. Focus and exposure skills are coming along. I was never much of a technician but slowly the science part is coming into line with the artistic side of this passion.

    This is an 'orb-weaver spider' certainly the largest spider in our garden. I have measured them at 9 inches leg tip to leg tip with a body not much smaller than a large man or woman's thumb. This one spins a golden web that can be 3 to 4 meters anchor point to anchor point and strong enough to catch swallow sized birds. I find them intriguing.
