I only wish they'd update the sample photol or provide more examples; however there are enough elements within to provide adequate stimulus.

This will be good for a beginner, John. Thank you very much for reminding me get this one. I am giving a camera to my DIL and will have to teach her some 'proper' photography with a DSLR. I have the one on the right but I didn't know where I put it. somewhere in one of my file folders in photography...

You do not need a DSLR to do 'proper' photography but rather the mental approach which applies with any tool. What is 6 inches behind the camera as some put it Originally Posted by IzzieK

Yeah I told her that too...but she appreciate anything that I give her anyway. She is presently using her cellphone and getting tired of it too. So it will be an eye opening experience for her.
