Though I have already posted other images of these broken dessert dishes in the first thread, I wanted to post the image shown below in a separate thread.
No physical or digital gimmickry was used to make the image; the scene is simply three broken dessert dishes balanced with no form of aid and the camera was dead level. I'm not an engineer, so I have no idea why the stack hasn't fallen. I only know that it has been perfectly stable for over an hour at the time that I am writing this.
Setup
The same as the images in the other thread: The tabletop is black glossy acrylic. The background is translucent glossy white acrylic. A medium continuous-light lamp behind the background shines toward it, the subject and the camera. The image was desaturated (not converted using a color filter) to black-and-white and toned very slightly with a blue tint. The combination of the lighting and exposure made the horizon disappear.
