    the trouble is that as soon as you move a leaf he or she retracts into the shell. I do try to shoot in context which means sometimes the surroundings are not ideal.

    as strange as this will sound it was a difficult shot. In the shade required a slow shutter yet the constant movement of the head begged for a fast shutter. And the slime just wanted to be over exposed.
