Last shot of the day
Down on the Ebro Delta in Spain for a few days, the sun had set and here is my last shot of the day

Very minimalist, but that's why I really like it. Considering the low light conditions and who knows where you took this from, your last one for the day is a wonderful shot.

Lovely shot, Kaye. I find it strange that the first shot or the last shot often turn out to be best of the set.
I wonder if this image might not work a bit better in a 16:9 ratio. I moved it around in Lightbox and that's how I came to that suggestion.

Composition, theme has that "time to go home" look to it. Nicely captured.

If not for their beaks, it'd be hard to tell whether they were coming or going.
I wonder if their neck muscles get tired while flying.
Nice shot, I don't think I've ever seen flamingo's flying before, mostly just seen standing around the pond at the San Diego Zoo.

Thanks all for your comments. The flamingoes here are very natural and often seen flying, but always in groups. This formation was a photography gift. Manfred you are so right about first and last shots, there must be some psychology in there too. I will try the crop, I left it as is because I wanted to keep the tiny piece of pink sky but it may not be critical.

I love this Kaye, I am a big fan of minimalistic images and this works perfectly.
