    If in Northern Ontario I would call this a Blue Heron, but in SW Florida I doubt my ID is correct.

    Beautiful shot and bird. I believe that is a Tri-colored Heron (Egretta tricolor), but I could be wrong.

    I have a lot of these from my recent trip to Florida...they not really big birdies. You shot here is most beautiful and nicely separated from the background. Good job...

    P.S. If my husband is still in the punk these next few days, we would have been to Florida three days ago.
