    I know. Not sure why. There were several adults out in the ice so I am sure there were no cracks.

    I prefer you other shot, Joe. I think this one might have worked better had your little skater been more in the clearing in the upper right corner of the image, as it is I find him a bit too close to the tree branches.

    As for cracks in the ice; no doubt at all that there are some. I can't ever remember skating on natural ice without them. It's not so much as a going through the ice issue, but rather catching the edge of the blade and going for a tumble.

    Yes, but he did not cooperate. He was mostly over to the left; hi dad was over there.
    Not having grown up in this climate, I always worry about going through the ice myself.
