    Stairwell abstract #2

I find it very satisfying seeing simple architectural forms like this. It just has to be photographed.

Nice, Tony. What and where is the building?

Very nice Tony! I like it as is but will share a thought that came to mind for another composition which might enhance the abstract nature of the shot. Could you get an angle where you were able to show all three pillars going into space without the one being anchored to the ceiling?

Tony, I'm liking this one but am undecided as to whether I like this one or your other one better. I think they both work, for different reasons. Maybe if you could bring out more distinction in that middle zone...? Anyway, really good eye in seeing this in both of your posts.

very very nice. Love the colours and tones, the simplicity of the shapes make it a stand out image - well seen and well captured

Hi Janis. It's the Centro de Arte Dos de Mayo, in Móstoles, Madrid. (The name means "Centre of Art Second of May - in remembrance of the beginning of the uprising in 1808 against the French occupation.)

Good suggestion. I'll try that on my next visit.

They are different and I also haven't decided which I prefer. I will try your suggestion to bring out more distinction in the middle zone. I have made a first attempt using Color Efex Pro, but will spend a bit more time at it (perhaps in Photoshop instead) before posting it. Increasing the saturation of the non-white areas is another possible improvement, but I need time to let the development settle down in my mind before I decide what I really like, and what I really want to show with this photo.

Thanks Mark. The subdued tones and high-key light areas are nice, which is why I want to be careful about my second attempt at developing it ...

I love colour/shading on this. There could be so many variations I am sure, but this works very well
