Re: What's in a name?
No, I confess I didn't know that (or had even heard of Malak Karsh. Shame on me, but landscape not so much my thing).
Yes, pseudonyms have a long and illustrious history in the arts.

Re: What's in a name?
You have my sympathy, Max. I got drjuice from my students and my initials. When I was going up for tenure, a senior professor in my department called me in and told me it wasn't respectful for my students to call me by my first name (I didn't care one way or the other). Also, when I'd been an undergraduate several professors invited me to call them by their first names. So, I went back and had a meeting with the students who worked for me and told them the senior professor had declared that whatever they called me had to begin with Professor, Doctor, or Miss (this was before Ms. was in). So, they started with Doctor VH (my initials), which shortly became Doctor V8 (for the beverage), and then drjuice. Since the expression started with Doctor, there was nothing the professor could object to. ;~) And, that's the true story of drjuice.
So, find something that fits you and your objectives and ignore the rest of the world.
