    Yes, this works fine.

In many ways, washing hanging on lines says a lot about the person who hung it out and probably typifies that particular location in general. Besides placing the owner rather firmly in a distinct socio-economic zone I expect a psychologist would have something to say about the order in which items are pegged out.

But I suppose, depending on the nature of items being photographed, there is always a risk of this being regarded as a weird fetish!

Even if I did, there's no guarantee that I'd live any where Texas, the states are HUGE!

I took a plane from JFK to Vegas one time, and in however many hours the flight is, you don't go over the sea!!!! In the UK, you've pretty much left the Island before the fasten seat belts sign goes out

I don't think that taking the photos is a problem, it is taking the knickers that can lead to court!
I love the tonal variation in the clothes. I actually prefer your tighter crop at the top in the version with the man to the version without man but with pipe and aeriel a top.

    Cheers,

    Dave

Well I just counted 47 groups on Flickr, when I typed washing lines into the search box, so alas it's probably not that unique

From where I live to Austin alone is almost 18 hours drive and as soon as we reached the border to Texas, it was still Texas all the way. I slept part way, woke up to find we were still in Texas like we never left Texas -- all these because we have to pick up a car. I should have keep my trap shut. My fault. Nevermind. 'Went to Dallas on a plane. Much easier, much faster to pick up a precious little Tucker at the time. Love of our life.

    Sorry...off topic.

Very nice image; i don't get scale of things; the hanging rope seems very high or is that reachable from ground to hang? ...

Good spot, that means that I cloned the man out of the original image, not the cropped image, lol what an idiot I am!

I've decided to keep the man... But I've had a crack at cloning out the street lamp since then... It didn't go so well...

    Thank you!

Forgive me if I'm being dense, and you're joking...

But the washing lines are on pulleys, you hang out of your window, attach clothing, wind the line along, attach more clothing, repeat until done!

Sort of thing I'm good at (using wrong image, not cloning). Somewhat off topic, my most recent triumph was to shorten the legs on a pair of trousers.... but I did the same leg twice, in error!

Modern street lights are a pain.

Thinking about vast distances reminds me of the tale about a Texan who was staying at a Farmhouse near where I live.

'I can drive for 6 hours and I'm still on my land' the Texan boasted.

'I know what you mean' the local farmer replied 'I once had an old worn out vehicle like that!'
