    Flora and fauna

A bit more around this last week. A possum hadn't gone to bed and made a tempting target for the birds.

All very nice. It looks like a green tree snake to me. There was one trying to get into our house today. The oriole chicks are especially cute.

A nice set. That seems a fair size shrimp the Heron has caught. Which golf course? I'll give it a miss.

If we don't have doggies, Bill would like at least three possums in our yard...anyway, I pity the possum; the first one is a good shot; I'd prefer to skip the snake...

and those flowers with the bees are really great. Fruit bats -- are they are pest? I like the heron too...

It's a Green Tree Snake - full grown at about 4'. Very mildly venomous - if you got bitten you wouldn't be too sick to drink beer.
