I'd get rid of the bike in #2 and we've got a winner. I am always impressed (read "jealous")) by how many great and so different images you manage to produce. Great job.
Keep the image with the bike even if you edit it out for another post, I think it somehow makes too much empty space without. Nice depth to both images.
FWIW...
I prefer the second image and I like the bike!
I much prefer the composition of the second image, because to me, everyone in the foreground is engaged, and the angle of thier heads compliments one another and focused on their activity, the first image I find myself wondering what the girl in red is looking at!
Hi Tejal - the first one doesn't work particularly well for me. The first thing I notice is the back side of the boy and that view generally does not work that well. Usually seeing the faces of your subjects is important in this type of shot. I also find all of the things going on in the background rather distracting.
The second image is definitely stronger as we see the faces of your subjects, but I still find the scene quite busy, even though you have achieved a nice balance with the positioning of some of the background elements. As a comparison, let me offer a slightly simpler view, courtesy of Photoshop's clone stamp and content aware fill tools. It's not 100% there and needs more work, but you can get the idea. I also found the faces of the boy on the left and the little girl a bit too dark, so I lightened those as well.
I like the bike, it looks so out of place
But I like Manfred's edit as well.
Hi TejalIMO colors don't help the images very much in those shots. I would try BnW conversions to see how they work.
I really like image #2 because it includes the fronts of the children and draws me into the image. I do like the triangular composition of the three children.
However, I would prefer a bit cropped off the top so there would be less blank sky...
The more I look at the first image the more it reminds me of dancers limbering up before a performance.![]()
#2 image for me too...and I particularly like the edit/crop of Manfred.
