Actually, the capture you have looks realistic, Matt. While the setting sun can throw a warm colour cast on the snow, the blue sky will have a greater impact and and the shadow areas will reflect it and have a cool blue colour cast.

The sun is very low in the sky, so much of the direct light from it is blocked by the hill in the background. This is exactly what you show here.

Very nicely done, snow colour look good, as one coming from the land of ice and snow. To me what looks like footprints on each side of the rock (foreground) take away from a great image.

Its a pretty accurate reflection (no pun intended) of how I seen it Nandakumar. I did try adding a bit of warmth to the snow but it just didn't look right for me.
