The sun sets on OOL SALES

They don't always make for the best photographs but I always find old rundown buildings to be interesting. Especially when there is something to be solved. Wonder what came before the OOL. This was taken this evening as the sun was setting. I liked the color of the walls.

Well it's not centered so it's either a long word or two words. Not the most interesting of sites but you can experiment with the fading light. Nice effort.

I've always tried to include something alive that's not a plant.. Birds are usually the easiest to draw near.. I've used a 3 1/2 foot long thin copper pipe to shoot moist chunks of bread.. Ideally, capturing a curious deer coming out would add what's missing.. I've used hunting cameras that are motion sensitive for stuff like that, you sneak in before a snow, and leave a pile of apples or other fruit off the ground. Makes it much harder for mice to find.. If you cut 1 or 2 in half, the scent travels quicker.. Apple sauce is another great enticer, especially colder seasons.. All in all though, as it is, it did keep my attention for awhile...

Thank you for the comments. My main reason for taking this image was the light and the faded color of the walls which I was interested to see how it would look once processed. I also find dilapidated buildings somewhat interesting.

An interesting old building, gorgeous light. The only suggestion I might make would be to go to a looser crop. Unless the surrounding area is totally ugly, something that shows more of the environment might lead to a stronger composition.

I agree Manfred, thanks. Unfortunately there was quite a lot of garbage around so this crop was determined by that.
