    With eastern I was in Kortrijk, Belgium, and decided to see the daily last post ceremony in Ieper. I showed some picture of Ieper before but I didn't see the ceremony.

    It was very busy, I couldn't move during the ceremony. So one frome the back and one from the front.

    There's also a German military graceyard: Langemark.

    As you can see the same poppies and the same long lists of missing soldiers on the stones around the centre field.

    Maybe I'm going back to the Somme territory before the end of this year. See if I can make some different pictures.

    Langemark Cemetery is indeed a place that truly inspires awe. Respectful, dignified, but also haunting and daunting. Those three statues stand starkly overlooking the graves with the fields of Flanders stretching out behind them.
