Nice work with day lillies, Richard. Pity they only last one day. I'd tone down the leaf in the fourth and remove the leaf in the 5th as it distracts from the rose. Good capture of the butcher bird, too.

Lovely photos Richard. One of the things I learned later than sooner was before taking the picture, to look the scene over for unwanted objects that I didn't want in my photo. I remove dead blossoms, twigs, leaves and anything that will draw attention away from the subject. I will also hold an offending branch or leaf to the side and one-hand the camera to get the shot.
I agree on #4, beautiful colors. Thanks for sharing!

I like all of them but the rose...nothing wrong with it, just that I have seen so many already plus a lot from my garden...I particularly like #1 and #2 -- they are superb shot...as for the day lily, I guess it will not hurt to remove it though if it is mine, I'd leave it the way it is at the moment.
One thing though, may I ask if you can put a number before each image next time so I do not have to (and others) have to scroll back and forth just to comment on each one or pick and choose our (my) preferences. Just a thought...
