That's the mansion at Magnolia Plantation and Gardens, which is difficult to photograph without a busload of people parading up the stairs and in front of it. Very nice photo that could be improved mostly with better light. However, this plantation, like most if not all of them, is not available to tourists during early morning or late afternoon. Well done under the circumstances!
Consider cropping to eliminate about two-thirds of the lawn.

That's a very competent shot Sam,
Good exposure and its sharp (best viewed in LyteBox).
I agree with Mike on cropping; I'd lose say, ten percent width off right hand side and 15% off bottom edge.
Cheers, Dave
Very nice; edited version is more appealing![]()
I like the edited version too.
To my eyes, the stairs almost make the porch look like it droops at the ends.
Very nice picture.
The revised version works so much better for me.
Very appealing shot of this place...except for the visitors and the mosquito thing you mentioned...I like the edit better..
Thanks Izzie! Actually, the few mosquitos hang out mostly in the gardens. They were not that bothersome to me and small price to pay to see the beauty of the gardens. I was surprised to see so many flowers in bloom in November, mostly Camellias. The last photo is of the last in crowd control measures
That gator looks viciously alone....One day, I'd build a house with a moat around it...
Anyway, nice shots..I love them all...
