    Stag in the tall grass

This image is an attempt to defocus the stag and blur it slightly to complement the out of focus foreground grass and keep the background trees in focus.

    C&C welcome.

For me, there is too much out of focus foreground so I would crop closer and have a different size ratio.

I think this scene does have possibilities.

That's just not working for me I'm afraid Ashish.

I see you achieved what you set out to (the background trees are the sharpest thing here), but I'm wondering why? (you want to do that compared to a shot where the stag is in focus - AND not least; with a lot more of it visible too.

If I had shot this, it would have been an accident - and I wouldn't hesitate to delete it - because I'm always trying to shoot the animal.

I'm sorry if that sounds harsh, Dave

I think the blur gives the image a sense of movement as the eyes travel upward. Nice concept.

Thank you for your thoughts Dave... no worries... i appreciate your views. This was meant to be an experimental shot and i thought i would post it here for C&C. I knew there would be varying opinions on this one.

    Cheers!
