    Autumn Colours Finally

Went out shooting Saturday at a place close to me called Peters Woods, it is a smallish area, however it holds some old first growth White Pine, and Beech with a small stream running through it. I like shooting mid afternoon as the sun to me it in the spot and with the trees still with leaves just lets the magic through.

    Cheers: Allan

Nice shots Allan, although if your weather conditions are like mine, the window of opportunity for fall leaf shots is getting smaller every day. The leaf fall up this way is probably around 30% and one good rain / wind storm and it will be game over until next fall.

Beautiful colors. IMO the first shot would be better w/out the tree in the FG. The third shot is my favorite for the most interesting/cleanest composition. Nicely done.

Beautiful colours, always as autumn does with the changes...I can't find a favourite at all. They all look so nice to me...

    #3 for me, Allan
I like the symmetrical framing, and the contrast between the green in the fore and the yellow in the background. Your composition kept it fairly simple, and that's typically not at all easy in a forest scene.

I like them all, Allan, but the 2nd stands out for me because the contrast between the yellow leaves and the blue sky.

The framing and contrasting colours in #3 really appeal.
