Helpful Posts: First time out with the new D7100 and first images I have taken with a DSLR since my SLR days some 35 years ago. Some things never change while some things have changed quite a bit. Nice not having to buy film. Here are a few shots I took about a week ago while getting the hang of the camera.

Indeed. But what hasn't changed is the ability to 'see' and make a good image ... as the evidence here demonstrates.

I often find my first shots aren't that great especially if I don't have time to indulge, you are off to a good start.

Kick''n the dust off and darn you did really well , somethings we never lose . I too just recently purchased the Nikon D7100 but I still shoot mostly with the good old stand by . Olmpus E-620 till I get more familar with the Nikon.
