Trail Photo - The Hiker
We ran into a couple of hikers who had spent a couple of days in a cabin in Porcupine Mountain Wilderness State Park in Northern Michigan. We ran across them taking a rest and asked if we could take their picture.

Love her stick. Beats my traditional shepherd's crook walking stick.
Quite a hard pic to expose correctly. And it looks great.

Never in my life had I ever considered doing something like that but, I do applaud her.
I thank you for the picture.

That's a fair sized pack she's toting. My bride and I used to backpack a fair amount in our youth. We couldn't afford expensive (i.e. light weight) gear so always carried heavy loads. Now with photography involved the packs have gotten smaller but both heavier and more expensive

Pretty good shot of that traveller...I've done with backpacking and camping. I will leave that to the children. Or they can go backpacking and I stay in the nearest hotel.
