Nice series of a nice place, I would like to have a walk there too #4 is compositionally my best. I would crop the image above the rain drainer though(I don't know if it is the right word but I mean the thing in the middle of the street in the FG).

Nice series, reminds me of the Trulli village in Italy.

Why are people so fond on cloning???
That rain drain cover(?) is a part of the street, just as the rain pipes on the right and that anti parking pilar in front of it. They belong there and, on the foreground, gives extra perspective to the whole image.
I like them, as they are.

Thanks all. These streets are really attractive to wander about and their character is not contrived or over-done. They provide great shapes and textures for composition. Lots of tourists at times so you have to pick your moments.

Thanks for that George. People have different views on whether things like drains spoil an image or can be used as an integral part of it. I generally belong to the latter group and sometimes feel I have failed if these things are not seen to harmonise with the rest of the image.

I feel compelled to come clean and admit that I have 'removed' a tv aerial and dish from number 4 but I see them as accessories to the street scape and not an integral part of the structure.

Izzie, you would have me cause a flood. And Binnur too.

Neville and George , my crop suggestion wasn't for the cleaning purpose in this image, but I felt that it is possible to feel more in the street by cropping and getting closer

Yes Binnur, I understand your point. I suppose we all want different things out of any scene, which makes it more interesting.

    Many thanks for your input.

    Thank you to Steve also.
