    Another Amazing Makeover

Reba is a 3-year old Maltese-Poodle mix. This is what she looked like when she arrived at the San Diego Shelter - shelter's image, not mine

    Another Amazing Makeover

After some grooming by the shelter (San Diego County Shelters are great!) and by my wife, this is what Reba looks like now.

    Another Amazing Makeover

I have a hunch that Reba will find a furever home very soon!

What a transformation! What a lucky girl! It must be tremendously rewarding work.

Is it just dogs at the shelter, Richard?

No, not just dogs. There are cats, horses, other farm animals and sometimes birds, lizards and snakes at the shelter.

We have a barn cat living in our RV garage that we got from the shelter. She keeps the large garage free of mice and other vermin while we supply her with a safe home and plenty of good food. I think that it is a fallacy when some folks say that you need to keep a cat hungry so it will become a good mouser. I think that a cat's inherent instinct is to kill mice.My cats have never eaten the mice that they kill! The garage is rather large, about 24 feet by 50 feet, and has shelves full of neat stuff for the cat to explore and well as several beds for the cat. There is a cat door but, this cat is timid and doesn't seem to want to leave the garage. However, she is very territorial towards the garage and seems to regard it as her home.

Here are two more images of Reba to show what she looks like...
