    Indian Jackal

This guy was running in front of our jeep maintaining a safe distance and looking backward from time to time almost as if to say... "Keep your distance and I'll indulge you or i will run into the forest".

I was using a 70-200 and hence could not get a closer shot.

    C&C welcome.

    Nice one Ashish,

Glad you warned me about not being able to get a closer shot after my comment in one of your other threads

You have some problems with the light on the tree tops and the right side, but not your fault, so I would crop a little closer to create a 'cleaner' image. Otherwise looks fine to me.

Nice capture. Everything about this animal (including the way it is looking back) reminds me of our coyotes...

A great capture Ashish however I would like to see a tighter crop to put a little more emphasis on the coyote whilst still retaining it's place in the landscape.

Hi Ashish IMO the jackal looks great if you crop the image from the top to make a square frame with less green.

Thanks Binnur ... I did try some crop variations but felt that this crop best portrayed the animal in it's environment.
