Helpful Posts: This is a juvenile Swanson's Hawk. It had no fear and sat and let me take pictures for a long time. As I was driving off I noticed on the other side of the street behind a fence what I believe was his parent, dead. It was really sad as I think he was reluctant to leave it and that is why he posed for so long. 2 weeks prior I had seen the parent teaching it to hunt. Thinking it was the same ones as they tend to stay in the same area.
