Aww, this is nice Brian
May be just a bit more brightness only at the intersection of the two leaves where the big drops are.

As far as I know you know how to use masks in Gimp. So adding a brightness adjustment layer with a mask and using a soft brush might help

Brian, you might get away with a slight increase in brightness and then an increase in vibrance.
That said, it a very pleasant and soothing image though more 'reverie' for me than awe or terror.
