I understand that mount Mytikas is the same as mount Olympus, the residence of the Greec gods.

Great set Jordan! I loved it

George, mount Mytikas (2917) is actually the highest summit in the Olympus Mountain.
Usually it is a 2-day trekking. You start from the town of Litochoro and you can choose between driving and walking for about 17 kilometers to a place called Prionia(1000), where there is a parking.
After 6 kilometers, at 2000m you reach the so called Refuge A (reservations required).
Early next day you trek to mount Skilio, which takes about 3 hours.
From there the route gets a bit difficult but in one hour you will reach mount Myticas.
There’s a lot of information in the net, but I’ll tell you from experience: no need of carrying more than one big bottle of water (1.5 liter).
