It's a nice statue but something is missing to make it stand out.
Maybe a different angle, time of day?

I'm happy with the shot Graham , very nice
May be the reason Jim feels something missing in the image is that there are no surroundings in the image and the statue stands on itself. It might be a good idea to upload such and image with other images which include the environment . Then it would be a very nice series. I would also try a shot from another angle facing the statue to see how it works.
