Another "wow" capture.
Very nice Brian![]()
I don't often go for flowers in B&W, but this one looks amazing. The flower itself doesn't even look monochrome, it has such a lovely standout texture my brain is imagining, I dont know, some kind of very pale silk. Beautiful.
Makes me want to retire and spend all of my time playing with PP :-) The kids would starve, but.....
The flower is beautifully done. I have one suggestion: to crop. For my taste, the position of the flower isn't ideal--slightly below center, and laterally well off-center. This is an image that I would want off-center vertically, with more space at the bottom, and more or less centered laterally. Also, I think there is too much background on the right anyway. I'll post a quick crop. see what you think.
My first thought is that the new crop lost the leaves from the bottom right corner and I miss them. I really think this version of the shot needs the background line that runs from top left to bottom right. It also seems to me that the tighter crop lost some of the depth that is so important?
LOL, wish I was into digital photography when they were young. Perhaps I should be clearer. The adult-like substances would starve, but.....
I hear it gets better, but then again, I've heard a lot of things about child rearing that didn't pan out. Perhaps, when the dust settles and the rough times fade leaving only the fond memories, my perception will change :-)
I do like the shot. I like Dan's crop as well.
