Exactly my reaction. Very good capture and a great POV, but the background has a bunch of problems. The thistles on the lower left are distracting. Ditto, the top right, and the white circles.

With some work, you could reduce some of the problems. For what little they are worth, here are a few suggestions:
--Crop more. There isn't room for a lot, but you can crop a little, and that would get rid of some of the background.
--Blur the background.
--add a bit of a dark vignette.
